LabelCraft prints to any label printer, because it outputs a standard PDF (and native ZPL for Zebra). What changes from one printer to the next is the native print resolution - the dot grid the printer actually lays ink on, measured in dots per inch (DPI). Designing a barcode at your printer's native DPI keeps every narrow bar a whole number of dots, so it scans the first time. 203 vs 300 dpi - what it means for your barcodes

Most desktop thermal printers run at 203 dpi; Dymo LabelWriter and Brother QL models run at 300 dpi. Neither number is simply "better" - what matters is that your template DPI matches the printer. Send a 300 dpi template to a 203 dpi printer and each narrow bar spans a fractional number of the printer's dots, so the printer rounds them and the bar widths drift - the classic cause of a barcode that scans poorly. Don't see your printer?

Your printer doesn't need to be on this list. LabelCraft prints a standard PDF that any label printer's driver can handle, plus native ZPL for Zebra. The list above is only used to infer your native DPI for the scan-reliability checks. If you connect a printer through PrintNode, LabelCraft reads the model automatically; otherwise you can pick your printer brand and model in Settings so the same DPI checks apply.
