Shopify is retiring Stocky on August 31, 2026, and on that date Stocky and all of its APIs stop working. Stocky was already removed from the App Store on February 2, 2026. If you printed barcode labels for the items on your purchase orders through a Stocky integration, that workflow disappears with Stocky — so you need a replacement that prints from native Shopify receiving instead. Which apps are affected by the Stocky API shutdown

Several barcode-label apps were built around Stocky's purchase-order workflow. A few examples that advertise printing labels directly from Stocky POs:

CTS Multi Barcode Labels — its listing offers “Stocky integration for quick and easy label printing from purchase orders.”
MS Barcode Labels & Generator — its listing lets you “print labels directly from Stocky’s purchase order.”
Any custom app or script that read Stocky data through the API. The Stocky API stops responding on August 31, 2026, so anything that pulled POs, suppliers, or stocktakes from it loses that access.

To be precise: an app like that may keep working for the parts that don’t depend on Stocky — for example printing from a Shopify order or a product page. It is specifically the Stocky purchase-order label path that ends when Stocky and its API are switched off. If that was how you labelled received stock, this is the gap to close before the deadline.

What native Shopify gives you — and what it doesn't

Shopify’s official replacement for Stocky is native Purchase Orders and Transfers in the admin (Inventory → Transfers). You can create POs, receive shipments, and even scan barcodes to speed up receiving. But there’s one thing native receiving still can’t do:

Native Shopify receiving can’t print barcode labels. Shopify’s own help docs are explicit that barcode printing isn’t available in admin transfers — you scan existing codes, but you can’t generate the labels for what just arrived. That’s exactly the job LabelCraft does.

Generate valid barcodes for items that arrive without one

Some items show up with no barcode at all. Work through these now rather than in the final week. They’re ordered so each one sets up the next and you keep printing labels without interruption when Stocky goes dark.

Export everything you need from Stocky today. Download the purchase orders, receiving records, and stocktakes you might want as a reference — once the deadline passes there’s no way back in, and supplier data can’t be exported at all.
Check your catalog barcodes. Run a Barcode check over your products to find blanks, duplicates, and malformed codes before they reach a label.
