Shopify retired Stocky on August 31, 2026, and with it went the way Stocky printed barcode labels for received stock. If a delivery just landed and you were about to label it from Stocky, you are not stuck: LabelCraft prints exact-size, scannable labels straight from the stock you receive in Shopify, and it does not need a Stocky export to do it. First: nothing you care about was deleted

Your product and variant data stays in Shopify: SKUs, barcodes, costs, and inventory levels live on your products, not inside Stocky, so removing the app does not touch them. What stopped is the receive-to-label workflow. That is the one thing you need to replace this week, and it is smaller than it sounds.

Label this week's delivery in three steps

  1. Install LabelCraft and open Receive & label. LabelCraft reads your native Shopify Transfers and incoming inventory shipments directly, so the delivery you are receiving is already there. No CSV, no re-keying, no Stocky export needed to get started.
  2. Fill any gaps in your barcodes. Where a received item has no barcode, use “Generate missing barcodes” to create a valid EAN-13 from your own GS1 prefix, or an internal Code 128 when GS1 is not required. A dry-run preview shows exactly which variants change before anything is written back to Shopify.
  3. Print at the right size and scan-test one. Pick the template that matches your label stock, check the live preview and the scan-readiness verdict, then print at 100% scale. Labels come out exact to +/-0.1 mm, and a barcode too narrow to scan is flagged before you print, not after a wasted roll. Scan one to confirm it decodes to the right SKU, and this week's delivery is labelled.

I never exported my Stocky data. Is it too late?

For labelling the stock you are receiving now, you do not need a Stocky export at all: the Receive & label flow reads what Shopify already knows about your incoming Transfers. A Stocky export only matters for historical purchase-order records you want to keep for reference. If you did grab a CSV before the shutdown, LabelCraft's importer can read it too, but do not let a missing export stop you from labelling today's delivery.

What you keep going forward

Exact-size labels for any printer (Dymo, Zebra, Brother, Munbyn, Phomemo, Avery sheets, or any custom size in millimeters), barcode generation from your own GS1 prefix, and a real receiving-to-label flow that reads Shopify natively. And nothing is ever silently dropped: a missing barcode, a label that will not fit, or a barcode too small to scan is shown to you before the print. That is the class of problem that made labelling from the old tools frustrating, and it is exactly what the render engine is built to catch.
